Shawnee Heights Holds Graduation

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--Local high schools continued their graduation ceremonies Sunday. Shawnee Heights had its commencement at the Kansas Expocentre Sunday afternoon.

Over 250 students graduated. 140 of them plan on going to a four-year college while many others are attending 2-year schools, entering the workforce or even joining the military. The class GPA was 3.1.

The class motto may sound familiar, "it is our choice that show us what we truly are far more than our abilities." It was written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
