TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Shawnee County residents will have to wait a little longer for curbside recycling service.
Shawnee County Commissioners voted Monday to again defer action on measures that would establish a monthly rate for Shawnee County Refuse and Recycling Department Customers.
The measure would raise rates on residential trash service by four dollars, but waive the fee for for those who sign up for curbside recycling.
Commissioners will take up the issue again at their meeting next week.
