TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- A Shawnee County DUI check lane last night stopped more than a hundred vehicles.
Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies and kansas highway patrol troopers conducted the check lane in the 4800 block of Southwest Topeka Boulevard from just after midnight to two o'clock this morning, 132 vehicles were stopped.
Eight drivers were tested for impairment, and of those, two were arrested for driving under the influence. One driver was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
Seven deputies were paid overtime - from a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
