Shawnee County Sheriffs Deputies Interrupt Theft

(Sheriffs Office) Topeka On Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at approximately 06:13 Deputies with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 7400 block of SE 40 Hwy in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival deputies made contact with the vehicle’s occupant, Marty Renner (w/m 40 years of age), of Topeka. Mr. Renner informed deputies that his vehicle became stuck while turning around in the driveway of the residence.

Upon further investigation deputies discovered stolen items in Mr. Renner’s vehicle. The stolen items included air conditioner unit A-Coils and automotive radiators. The items were taken from a detached garage and from a vehicle at the case address.

Mr. Renner was arrested for Burglary, Theft and for a felony probation violation warrant. He was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections, where he was booked on those charges.
