TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Shawnee County Parks and Recreation will close all of its pools, with the exception of Blaisdell, at the end of normal hours on Sunday, August 12.
Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center in Gage Park will remain open weekends only from Noon -8 p.m. through Labor Day. Staff shortages necessitate the early-to-mid August closing of the pools.
The Samuel Jackson Spray Park at SE 8th Street and SE Lake Street will be open through October, weather permitting. The spray park is open daily from 10am-8pm.
