TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- As the flu season approaches, Topekans have options as far as getting immunized.
The Shawnee County Health Agency is offering flu shots for anyone 6 months and older.
No appointment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome at the health agency's immunization department during regular business hours.
Shots are $30.00 each. The following insurance plans are accepted:
Blue Cross Blue Shield (excluding Value Blue)
KanCare (Sunflower, United Healthcare, and Amerigroup)
Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are all accepted forms of payment.
Health officials recommend the seasonal flu shot for everyone who is 6 months and older.
