FORT RILEY, Kan. – The Army’s highest ranking non-commissioned officer, Sgt. Maj. of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III, is set to visit with Fort Riley troops Sept. 11-12.

During his trip, Chandler will observe training events, tour facilities, and meet with Big Red One Soldiers and their Families.

While touring the training areas, Chandler will be on hand as Soldiers of 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division conduct section certification training.

Chandler was part of a group of Army senior leaders that visited Fort Riley in July during a week-long "Health of the Force" tour of six installations.

They visited the "Home of the Big Red One" as they worked to assess the overall health of those serving in the Army's ranks.

The senior leaders met with commanders and health professionals to look at different programs, services and resources, including the evaluation of disabilities, suicide and sexual assault prevention and Wounded Warrior care efforts.
