TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Lottery officially has a new executive director.
The Kansas Senate voted unanimously Tuesday to confirm Terry Presta's appointment to the position. He has been acting director since January 6, when Gov. Sam Brownback nominated him for the position.
Presta is from Overland Park, where he was President and CEO of Presto Convenience Stores.
Presta brings more than 30 years of business experience to his new role at the Lottery. In addition, he served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999.
“I am very pleased to be working with the Kansas Lottery team to produce important revenue for the State of Kansas,” Presta said in a statement released Tuesday. “I will be working to increase revenues, while continuing to provide our players with games they enjoy and supporting our retailers to ensure their lottery business is profitable.”
