(WIBW/KVOE) - A big rig wreck had the Kansas Turnpike closed south of Emporia Monday night.
KVOE radio reports the accident happened around 8:30 pm near mile marker 120, eight miles south of Emporia, in the northbound lanes. A tractor trailer rig overturned. The top of the trailer ripped out, sending the contents of its load all over the highway.
Northbound lanes of the Turnpike remained closed at 10:30 pm while crews worked to clear the scene. Northbound traffic was being exited at Cassoday.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
