KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV/CBS NEWS) - Police are investigating a rollover accident involving a semi truck that shut down Interstate 70 in the northwest corner of the downtown loop early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. when the semi rolled off the northbound I-35 ramp to the Broadway exit.
The semi landed in the eastbound lanes of I-70 just past Broadway, but debris and emergency vehicles caused the shut down of the westbound lanes of I-70.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic around downtown was slowed due to the accident.
One lane of westbound I-70 was reopened to traffic just after 7:30 a.m. All westbound I-70 lanes reopened about 8:15 a.m.
