TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - It's time to read Kansas!

Governor Sam Brownback and First Lady Mary Brownback shared story time with about 30 kids Thursday, reading "Duck Rabbit" to kick off the second annual "Read Kansas Read" campaign.

The statewide summer reading program encourages children to read while they're on summer vacation.

Kids who read the most will be recognized during the Kansas Book Festival in September.
