(WIBW) - Kansas Highway Patrol troopers were searching areas south of I-70 in Wabaunsee County Friday night for a suspect who fled.
A dispatcher says the incident began with a traffic stop just before 7 pm Friday. At some point, the suspect fled, leading authorities on a chase.
The suspect left the vehicle and fled on foot at Wapiti Road. Authorities were focusing their search in that area Friday night.
Information on why troopers stopped the suspect to begin with was not available Friday night.
A KHP dispatcher said that, as of 10pm, the suspect had not been located.
