JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Junction City police are searching for a felon wanted in connection with a battery and kidnapping stemming from a reported domestic altercation.

The Junction City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Donta R. Roberts, 29, Chief Tim Brown said Tuesday.

Roberts has been wanted by the Kansas Department of Corrections for Parole Violation since April 27th, 2012.

The JCPD is trying to locate him in connection with a domestic-related Aggravated Battery and Kidnapping that occurred on October 7th in Junction City. Few details are being released on the incident.

Roberts is believed to be traveling between Junction City and Wichita and may be staying at local motels in the Junction City/Grandview Plaza area so motels are asked to be on special alert, Brown said in a press release.

Citizens should not try to apprehend Roberts themselves but should call Police. He is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the Kansas Department of Corrections website, Roberts has multiple convictions in Geary County dating back to 1998, including Aggravated Battery, Obstruction, Aggravated Escape from Custody, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Aiding a Felon.
