TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An hour-long search for a possible body turned up nothing for Topeka Police Thursday afternoon.
Officers were called just before 3 pm to the area near SE 2nd and Golden. They say a young person reported seeing what he believed was a dead body inside a car under a bridge.
Officers and K-9s searched the area but didn't find anything. They went back later for a short time when they believed they had new information, but still located nothing.
Police also say the story passed through several people and they never did find the person who made the original call.
