TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - One lucky teacher received a much needed gift for her students.
Office Max paid a visit Tuesday to Karen Wurtz' classroom at Whitson Elementary School. They donated $1,000 worth of school supplies to her and her students. Office Max showed their appreciation to public education and the commitment teachers like Wurtz give to her students.
Wurtz said a lot of teachers have to spend their own money just to supply their classrooms. Wurtz says she loves taking pictures of her classroom and, with the new supplies, she will take a lot more.
