TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Topeka Sheriff's Office released the results of Saturday night's saturation patrol.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office reported that officers didn't arrest anyone for DUI, but made 31 traffic stops.

They issued 25 warnings, 23 of those were equipment violations and two were for speeding.

Five Notice to Appear tickets were issued, two for expired tags, two for no proof of insurance and one for no drivers license.

One arrest for no drivers license or insurance on person was made.

The saturation patrol was funded by a grant awarded by the state for the purpose of preventing, detecting and apprehending impaired drivers.

Sheriff Herman Jones said the "contacts allowed us to remind the motoring public of safe driving habits that will reduce the number and severity of accidents in our community."
