MERIDEN, Kan. (WIBW) -- With the holidays upon us, a local business devastated by fire wants to make sure its employees are paid while it struggles to reopen - and you can help.

Earlier this month, a fire destroyed the Quality Custom Cabinets building, 7127 K4 Highway, in Meriden.

On Saturday, the company is hosting a benefit fundraiser from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 615 E Wyandotte St., in Meriden. Proceeds will cover its employees' lost wages, while any remaining funds will go toward replacing tools and other items necessary to run the business.

A silent auction and raffle will begin at 6:00 p.m. Afterwards, they're serving up a free will donation meal of pulled-pork sandwiches, baked beans, chips, and a dessert.
