SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ Saline County authorities have reopened an investigation into the 1981 shooting death of a Kansas man.
Thirty-year-old William Farmer was found shot to death in a car in a remote area near New Cambria on May 31, 1981.
Salina County Deputy Jim Hughes announced Thursday that new information has surfaced on the case. He says some of the people considered persons of interest in the case have died, prompting new information from people who may have been afraid to come forward.
KSAL reports (http://bit.ly/It3bI1 ) Farmer's wife, Brenda, who has remarried, says it's way past time to solve the case. And the couple's two sons said they were encouraged by the new interest in their father's death.
