Safe Streets Director Announces Resignation

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Director of Safe Streets is resigning.

Sally Zellers sent an email to the City of Topeka yesterday stating she and Kelly Hall, Operations Manager for the organization, were resigning.

Zellers worked with safe streets for 17 years, recently writing two grants to move the coalition forward with initiatives for the Hi-Crest West neighborhood.

In her email she thanked the staff, saying she will miss all of them and thanking them for caring about the community.

Zellers' last day will be March 29.
