Safe Disposal Keeps Drugs Out Of Wrong Hands

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Safely disposing prescription medications is an important way to prevent abuse and accidents.

The Drug Enforcement Administration coordinated in a collaborative effort with state and local law enforcement agencies to
encourage Kansans to dispose unused, unneeded and expired prescription medications as a part of the National Drug Take Back Day.

Locations were at Soldier Township Fire Department, Silver Lake City Hall and Rossville Police Department from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.

A list of drop off locations can be found by visiting the Attorney General's website at www.ag.ks.gov and clicking on the "got drugs?" banner.
