TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Road work related to a new home improvement store means a big road block in southwest Topeka the next few months.
The intersection of SW 17th and Urish will completely close to traffic next Monday, Aug. 13. Crews are building a roundabout there as part of work to extend 17th from Urish to Kingsrow. The extension is part of street improvements related to the new Menards store opening later this month.
The closure is through December 7th. Drivers should detour using SW 21st, Wanamaker and Huntoon.
