TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- You'll likely need to wake up extra early if your Tuesday (5/22) involves a trip to a Shawnee County Motor Vehicles Office location.
Workers at the Treasurer's Office cut off the line at 10:30 Monday morning, the earliest yet.
Shawnee County Treasurer Larry Wilson says the new system keeps kicking workers out of it. He says on Tuesday, workers will count the new customers, estimating a half an hour for each person in line. He says workers may cut off the line as early as 10:00 Tuesday morning.
Workers across the state have reported problems and glitches with the new system, including longer processing times in converting records.
State revenue department officials still say glitches have been resolved. They say the big issue is workers becoming familiar with the new system.
