SCHA Hosting Sessions To Help Residents Understand Affordable Care Act

TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- Some residents in Shawnee County may be confused with the Affordable Care Act and how the Health Insurance Marketplace works. The Shawnee County Health Agency hopes to relieve some of the confusion and stress.

The agency is hosting community meetings and enrollment sessions to explain and answer questions for residents about the Affordable Care Act.

An informational session will be held at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library in Marvin Auditorium on Monday, November 25 from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Staff trained in answering health insurance questions will be available.

Enrollment Sessions

Most will be held at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library

Tuesday, November 19, 4 - 7 p.m. - At Shawnee County Health Agency, 1615 SW 8th
A Spanish interpreter will be available.

Wednesday, December 4, 3 - 6 p.m.

Saturday, December 7, 1 - 4 p.m.
A Spanish interpreter will be available.

Tuesday, December 10, 9 - noon

Thursday, December 12, 9 - noon

Friday, December 13, 3 - 6 p.m.
