TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Rugby is helping send the families of two fallen officers to Washington, D.C.
The team hosted a fundraiser during Wednesday night's game against the British Military team at Yager Stadium. Money raised will send the families of Officer Jeff Atherly and Corporal David Gogian to
D.C. for the National Police Week Memorial.
Tickets to the game were $2. All proceeds went to the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation to help pay for travel expenses.
The British Military won the game, 31 to zero.
