TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- After six decades a local western lifestyle store is closing its doors.
Roy Frey Western Lifestyle will hold its retirement sale celebration Thursday.
Owners and husband and wife team Jo Turner and Dewayne Burgess told 13 News they're closing the western apparel store so they can spend more time traveling, riding horses and finishing up projects around the house.
Roy Frey Western has been around for 62 years but Jo and Dewayne are the first non-Frey owners.
Burgess, a retired 33 year Air Force veteran, has owned the store located at 121 NE US 24 Highway for 11 years.
