TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A rollover accident claimed the life of a KDOT employee.

Officials were called to the accident just after 9:00 a.m. Monday on K-25, about 11 miles south of Ulysses in Grant County.

43 year old Jeffrey Harris -- they called him "stack" -- was driving a dump truck pulling a trailer when the vehicle went off the side of the road and into a ditch.

Harris over-corrected and rolled the vehicle into another ditch.

Kansas Department Of Transportation Secretary Mike King expressed his condolences to the family today.

Harris worked for KDOT for 14 years as an equipment operator senior.
