The Kansas Department of Corrections told 13 News Hollister died of natural causes. No other details of his death were released.
He was convicted in March 2011 of capital murder for the 2009 death of Patricia Kimmi. He was serving a life sentence.
His wife, Rebecca Hollister, was arrested at her home in Topeka on March 12 on charges of aiding a felon.
