TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka Police released surveillance photos Tuesday night of the man they believe robbed a bank near Lake Shawnee earlier in the day.

The suspect entered Kaw Valley Bank at 3000 Southeast Croco around 2:45 p.m.

Police say the suspect told a clerk he was armed, but never displayed his weapon. Topeka Police say earlier witness reports that the suspect fled in a black truck were incorrect. They say a review of video from an area business shows he instead made off in what was a blue, late-model Toyota Rav-4 sport utility vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, last seen wearing a blue ball cap and a gray jacket. Police say he got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

If you know anything about the incident you're encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 234-007...
