TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A person suspected of threatening a Topeka resident at their home, came away from the confrontation with a gunshot wound.
Shawnee County Sheriff's LT Akim Reynolds said that at about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, the resident of a home in the 1900 block of SE 77th St., which is just east of Heartland Park Topeka, told them a person had come to their door and threatened them with a gun.
The resident fired a shot at the subject and that person left. LT Reynolds says someone matching that subject's description later showed up at St. Francis Health Center and reported being shot. They were treated for minor injuries and released to sheriff deputies.
