A record breaking amount of prescription drugs were turned in to authorities last week.
Nearly two tons (3,809 pounds) of unwanted prescription drugs were turned in by Kansans on October 29th, National Prescription-Drug Take Back Day. This was the largest total amount of medication collected in the state since the program began.
The medication was collected across 60 locations and will be safely destroyed by the drug enforcement administration.
