TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Real estate property taxes are coming your way if you live in Shawnee County.
Shawnee County Treasurer Larry Mah told commissioners Monday that he's hoping to send out statements by the end of this week. Residents should start getting them this weekend or Monday.
Mah told commissioners that statute requires the 2014 tax statements to be mailed by December 1st.
He says he's gotten lots of emails from residents asking about their statements -- stating people are "anxious to pay their taxes".
