Rain Check - September 26th

2013 has been a wetter year than the past couple of years, but it still falls behind the 30 year average for most locations across Eastern Kansas (Concordia is an exception). Below you will see a detailed breakdown of 2013 precipitation compared to 2012 and how that looks compared to the average precipitation totals over the past 30 years.

All number are as of September 26th.

Topeka:
27.13" of precipitation, which is 2.08" below the 30 year average. On September 26th, 2012 Topeka had recorded only 19.46" which is 10.19" below the 30 year average. So Topeka has seen 8.10" more precipitation so far in 2013 vs. 2012.

Manhattan:
24.08" of precipitation, which is 3.21" below the 30 year average. On September 26th, 2012 Manhattan had recorded only 20.08" which is 7.21" below average. So Manhattan has seen 4.00" more precipitation in 2013 vs. 2012.

Emporia:
26.57" of precipitation, which is 2.92" below the 30 year average. On September 26th, 2012 Emporia had recorded only 16.93" which is 12.56" below average. So Emporia has seen 9.64" more precipitation in 2013 vs. 2012.

Lawrence:
23.22" of precipitation, which is 8.17" below the 30 year average. On September 26th, 2012 Lawrence had recorded only 17.99" which is 13.94" below average. So Lawrence has seen 5.23" more precipitation in 2013 vs. 2012.

Concordia:
24.13" of precipitation, which is 0.57" ABOVE the 30 year average. On September 26th, 2012 Concordia had recorded 19.29" which is 4.27" below average. So Concordia has seen 4.84" more precipitation in 2013 vs. 2012.
