MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say a bomb threat at the Manhattan post office was a hoax.
Captain Kurt Moldrup, an administrator with the Riley County Police Department, says the RCPD got a call Tuesday afternoon about a bomb being left at the post office, located at 500 Leavenworth Street in Manhattan. He did not elaborate on the call itself or what the caller claimed. Police then notified the staff at the post office.
Moldrup says officers and post office workers searched the building looking for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary but nothing turned up. It was determined that the bomb call was unfounded.
