MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say they've tied a man and woman to a break-in at a Manhattan residence and the theft of $7000 worth of weapons.

Ashley and Todd Newbrough, both 20, of Manhattan, were arrested Thursday night (4/25) for burglary, obstruction and theft. Todd Newbrough was also arrested for unlawful acts using a computer.

Officials say investigators tied the couple to a burglary on April 14th at a residence on Allison Avenue.

Eddy Sanchez, 23, had three handguns, three rifles and a shotgun stolen from his home sometime between 9:30 AM- 4 PM that day.

As a result of an ongoing investigation into the crime, the Newbroughs were identified as the suspects.

An RCPD spokesman said police expect to recover all of the stolen guns.

Todd Newbrough is being held on a $20,000 bond and Ashley Newbrough is being held on a $15,000 bond at the Riley County Jail.
As of Friday morning, they were both still confined at the facility.

Police reports indicate that Todd Newbrough and the victim, Eddy Sanchez, are both employed by the U.S. Army.
