Dana Chandler
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A public defender will represent a Topeka woman convicted of killing her ex-husband and his fiancee.
Chief Judge Nancy Parrish appointed the public defenders office late Monday.
Dana Chandler was to be sentenced June 1 for the 2002 killings of Michael Sisco and Karen Harkness. That will likely be postponed because of the new counsel.
Prosecutors are seeking two "hard 50" terms-- meaning she'd serve 50 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
