LYON CO., Kan. (WIBW) - The prosecution has rested in an attempted murder trial in Lyon County.
Attorneys for Christina Devine will continue their case next week in Lyon County District Court.
Prosecutors say Devine left her newborn child in a dumpster in northwest Emporia in October 2009.
According to testimony, Devine told a Sergeant she'd been raped in February 2009, but the officer said the rape was never reported.
The jury was dismissed yesterday evening after several hours of testimony.
