TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Professional truck drivers from across Kansas came out to demonstrate their skills.
Spectators came out to the Kansas Motor Carriers Association Professional Truck Driving championships at Expocentre.
Drivers had to maneuver through a six course challenge as well take a 40 question written examination.
Those who participated in Saturday's event spoke on the importance of safety.
"It's important to be safe on the roadways and I want to make sure I stay eligible and always be safe for other drivers," said Don Logan, Fed Ex driver.
"I love seeing all these nice people. It's great, it's fun," said Karen Arnote who has come to watch the event for several years.
This is Kansas Premier driving event and attracted 60 of the truck industry's best drivers.
