Preliminary Hearing Set In Liquor Store Killing

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A preliminary hearing date is set for the man charged with killing Hudson Crossing liquor store worker Matthew Hill.

Matthew Myers will appear April 13th.The hearing will determine whether there's enough evidence for him to stand trial on charges of first degree felony murder and aggravated robbery.

He's being held on $1 million bond.

Surveillance video shows a man police believe was Myers staggering into the liquor store Christmas Eve afternoon. Police say the video shows Hill giving Myers money from the register, but then Myers hits him with a crowbar and shoots him.
