Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Throws Powwow

TOPEKA, Kan(WIBW)--Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation threw its annual Powwow Saturday night.

Over 100 dancers participated in a dance and drum competition. There were different competitions based on age and type of dance.

Some of the categories include Northern and Southern traditional, jingle and fancy dances.

There were also a drum contest with a grand prize of $10,000.

The powwow continues Sunday at noon.
