Power Line Hearings Have Been Set For Kansas Residents

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Public hearings are set across the state to discuss a siting application for a major power line.

Grain belt express filed an application with the Kansas Corporation Commission to build a high capacity power line near the Spearville 345 K-V Substation in Ford County, Kansas...

The first public hearing is set for tomorrow in the Seneca Community Building,starting at 6 p.m.

Grain belt express says the power line will export clean, renewable energy from western Kansas to Missouri, Illinois and farther east and will create new jobs.
