TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A 75-year-old man was found dead near a railroad crossing at NW Tyler and Curtis in Topeka Thursday afternoon.
Police say the train conductor saw the man walking beside the tracks as the train approached. The train's whistle was blown, and it passed the man who was to the side of the tracks.
Police were called a short time later, when a body was found near the railroad crossing.
Officials identified the man as William D. Reser of Topeka. Their investigation continues. They ask anyone with information on what happened to contact Topeka Police at 785-368-9400.
