Police Arrest Person Of Interest Sought In Home Invasion

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A man Topeka Police wanted to talk to about a home invasion that left the residents injured has turned himself in.

Police say Herman Landers Jr. saw his photo on television and contacted police with his location to turn himself in. He was arrested without incident just before 11 am Wednesday in the 2100 block of SW 6th Street.

Landers was booked into jail on charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, and Criminal Possession of Firearms.

Topeka Police say three black men wearing hoodies, armed with a gun, entered a home in the 4100 block of Twilight around 9:40 am Tuesday. The suspects fled the scene in an older brown van with an undisclosed amount of money and electronics.

The residents suffered minor injuries.
