Police Arrest 4 For Dozens Of Storage Breakins

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police arrested four people in connection with dozens of break-ins and burglaries to storage units over several months.

35-year old Robert Crocker, 28-year old Kimberly Seitz, 22-year old Misty Maspero and 33-year old Dustin Porter face multiple charges including burglary, theft and criminal damage.

Crocker faces 231 counts - 77 burglary, 75 theft, 77 criminal damage, 2 possession of stolen property. Seitz faces 239 counts - 84 burglary, 77 theft, 76 criminal damage, 2 possession of stolen property. Maspero is being held on 62 counts - 15 burglary, 20 theft, 14 criminal damage, 1 identity theft, 2 aiding, 9 forgery, 1 possession of stolen property. Finally, Porter faces 48 counts - 15 burglary, 8 theft, 14 criminal damage, 5 aiding, 1 identity theft, 4 forgery and 1 possession of stolen property.

Authorities say they executed a search warrant on January 4 at 2721 SE Monroe. They recovered two vehicles and a trailer, plus two, 26-foot UHaul trucks worth of other stolen items, totaling more than $250,000.

Additional search warrants in the 400 block of SE 29th, 1800 block of SW 41st, 2221 Kenilworth Ct., 1850 SW 54th and 5413 SW 11th led to additional stolen property.

Detectives linked the property to 80 separate burglary cases that happened between October and December of 2011. So far, police say they've identified items belonging to victims worth $100,000.
