TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Law enforcement and road crews dealt with a sticky situation along I-70 Wednesday night.
Topeka Police say a glue spill on the highway near 8th Street in downtown Topeka had westbound traffic was down to one lane. The spill was discovered just before 9 pm. KDOT crews assisted in cleaning up the mess and the highway was back to normal about an hour later.
Police say it appears a bucket of pavement marking adhesive apparently fell off a truck. They say the substance is so sticky, it actually takes some rubber off the tires if you drive through it.
