TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Officers at the scene for one accident late Sunday evening were able to assist with two.

Police were at 10th St. and Topeka Blvd. working an injury accident when they heard a scream from the nearby Walgreens Drive-Thru Pharmacy.

A woman had gotten out of her car to get a purse from the back seat and forgot to set the parking brake. That's when the car backed over her foot.

She was taken by AMR to a local hospital.

Topeka police officers say she may have suffered a broken ankle.

Just minutes earlier, the same officers were actually handling a two-car accident at the intersection there.

A woman and her baby travelling southbound on Topeka were hit by a vehicle turning west when the driver failed to yield.

The mom and her baby were transported to a nearby hospital, their condition was not immediately available.
