MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police continue their investigation into an apparent robbery that took a dangerous turn, leaving an Ogden man recovering from a gunshot wound.

On Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 8:20 PM, the Riley County Police Department received a report of a gunshot at a trailer court at 1704 Fair Lane in Manhattan.

Once on the scene, officers made contact with 19-year-old Cody Turnbough of Ogden who told them that he had been involved in an altercation with someone he knows and that during the altercation, he was shot once in the knee.

Turnbough was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan where he was treated for his gunshot wound. He has since been released from the hospital.

The case is being "actively investigated" and authorities are following up on leads in the case, officials said.

The RCPD's Criminal Investigations Division has made contact with all of the people present at the time of the shooting and have also recovered the firearm, the department revealed Wednesday.

No arrests have been made.

Press releases indicate that the shooting was an aggravated robbery but no other details are being released. It is not yet clear where exactly in the trailer court the incident occurred or how many suspects there are believed to have been involved in the violent incident.
