2 Juveniles, 1 Adult Arrested Following Attempted McDonald's Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two juveniles and one adult were arrested for attempting to rob a Topeka McDonald's store Friday, according to police.

Police were called around 2:40 a.m. Friday to the McDonald's at 1100 S Kansas Ave. .

Dispatchers said officers were told three males armed with at least two handguns were reported at the scene in a white car. Dispatchers say officers found the suspect car abandoned in the area of 5th and Topeka Boulevard.

The suspects were located and taken into custody a short time later. Names of the 13 and 14-year-old juveniles were not released. The adult was identified as Adam Alexander, 21.

Authorities confirmed that no shots were fired and nobody was hurt in the incident.
