Police Identify Would-Be Robber

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka police have identified the would-be robber who had the tables turned on him last night.

CJ Online states 28-year-old Andre Walker was arrested after he attempted to rob the Family Dollar on California Avenue around 9:30 last night.

Walker was booked into Shawnee County jail in connection with aggravated robbery and area bench warrants.

Walker was held at gunpoint in the parking lot of Family Dollar -- by the person who called police -- until officers arrived.

No injuries were reported following the incident.
