Police Continue To Investigate Allegation That Teacher Slapped Student

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Chase Middle School officials continue to investigate claims a teacher allegedly slapped a student.

USD 501 officials were investigating the claim Monday morning, Ron Harbaugh, a spokesperson for the district said.

Officials say the male student involved was taken from class by his parents after the alleged incident occurred.

School officials interviewed the teacher and several students. The teacher is suspended with pay until the investigation is complete.

Chase is located at 2250 NE State Street in Topeka.
