OLATHE, Kan. (WIBW)-- A licensed physician and clinical research coordinator accused of falsifying study data in clinical drug tests pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Doctor Wayne Spencer, a Topeka Physician and Lisa Sharp, a clinical research coordinator from Olathe both admitted to falsifying results of a clinical drug trial they were paid to perform at the Lee Research Institute.
Sentencing is set for January 20th. They face a max penalty of eight years and a max fine of $260-thousand dollars.
